Rebirth

A poem I wrote when was in my second year of college.

Learning faded, my faith eroded
Seeking the light, my organs I fight
Heart by my side, despair I try to hide
Calling the gods of war, knowledge is what I fight for
Winning not the cause, repairing only the loss
Flashes of anger curb me in their hunger
Balanced to be restored, I fight unstirred
Throwing away the dirt, I seek rebirth
